There is no need to bring helmet, glove and elbow & knee guards when attending CDC Circuit Orientation(also know as Circuit Training) for Class 2B Motorbike lesson. Dress code for the lesson is causal. You can wear slipper and short if you want. You will not be riding the motorbike. During the lesson, the instructor will brief you on the gear and item needed for each practical lesson. They are your glove, helmet & guards, receipt for the lesson, Proficiency Driving License (PDL) and booklet.  The dress code for each practical lesson will be long pant and shirt with sleeve. Short sleeve t shirt are allowed.

PDL can be applied online and is only needed from Lesson 6 onward as you will be riding on public road. Thus, you have plenty of time to apply for PDL. This is unlike last time whereby i have to come back to CDC again after completing my circuit orientation to apply for my PDL before i can go for lesson 1.

If your circuit orientation/training is booked during the below timing, Eyesight Test and Collection of Training Booklet will be carried out on the day of your Circuit Training.

  • Weekdays, Session 1 to Session 5 (8.30AM to 4.25PM)
  • Weekends, Session 1 to Session 2 (8.30AM to 10.20AM)
  • Not including Public Holidays

However, If your Circuit Training Programme is booked during the below timing, then you have to book appointment for eyesight test as it will be not performed. I believe eyesight test can be done at CDC Kovan via walk in. Best to double confirm before heading there.

  • Weekdays, Session 6 to Session 7 (6.50PM to 8.40PM)
  • Weekends, Session 3 to Session 5 (12.45PM to 4.25PM) (8.30AM to 10.20AM)
  • Public Holidays

During CDC Circuit Orientation, learner may be asked to push the motorbike off the mainstand and then put it back on the mainstand. Thus, if you are wearing slipper, you might find it uncomfortable when you need to put the motorcycle on mainstand. After the lesson, you will be given a form with stamp to apply for your PDL. PDL is needed before you can book your lesson one. Thus, it is advisable to book your lesson 0 (CDC Circuit Orientation) from Monday to Saturday so that you can apply for your PDL after the lesson ends. Else, you have to return back to CDC another day to apply for your PDL.

PDL can be applied only at Traffic Police counter on level 2. Do take note of the closing time of the Traffic Police counter before booking your Lesson 0 (circuit Orientation). Please do note that only NETS or Cashcard are accepted for payment when applying for PDL. So, please remember to bring your NETS or Cashcard with you and ensure that there is at least $25 inside. Pls do try to complete all your theory lessons and tests as soon as possible to prevent any bottlenecking. Both theory and practical lesson can be cleared at the same time. Some learners progress were impeded as they are unable to book their next practical lesson due to not clearing their theory lessons and tests fast enough.
